Last War Season 7 Guide: Release Date, New Features & Preparation Tips

Season 7 of Last War: Survival is almost here, and it brings a big change in how alliances fight. Instead of another giant map with eight warzones, the game is built around a simple idea: every player should have a useful role. This guide covers the release date, the new features, and what you can do now to be ready. If you want to start the new season with a stronger base, you can also look at last war accounts for sale on BuyAcc, a trusted platform for buying or selling game accounts.

When Does Last War Season 7 Start?

Last War Season 7

The season 7 pre-season will begin for the first wave of servers on November 9, 2026. Other servers will start at a later date, based on your server. Most of the other servers have had a pre-season of roughly 2 weeks, during which you download the season pack, complete the preparatory quests, and get your alliance ready for the main season.

The season is called Return to the Golden Realm. Some call it “Return to the Golden Empire,” but it is the same season and it takes you back to the desert, like Season 3 did.

What Is New in Season 7?

A Battlefield Where Everyone Has a Role

Seasons 5 and 6 featured eight warzones on one huge map. Season 7 takes a different approach, and the developers aim for each commander to feel important. You still have your big guys taking the lead into battle, but players working on growth, defence, or healing get their own tools as well.

More Alliance Skills

S7 introduces new Alliance Skills for you to use alongside the existing skills, such as Tranquil Rewind, Thunder Feathers, and Warlord Missile. The official preview notes that even the first decision, picking your skill, is just the beginning. The time you bring that skill into the fight is equally important. You can play it in the first push, or you can use it to be there for your follow-up, and it can make all the difference.

Combat Plans

Combat Plans

The biggest new system is Combat Plans. You choose a plan that fits your role and what your team needs, then pair it with Tactics Cards and other seasonal abilities. The same set of Tactics Cards can lead to very different playstyles, depending on the plan you pick.

Situation What Combat Plans Help You Do
Defending a key position Combine options that help you hold the line
Joining an attack Chain different offensive options to create an opening
Non-combat days Choose development-focused plans
Battle days Choose combat-focused plans

The plans available to you change with the season’s activities. That means a smaller commander does not have to sit out a war, and a player who prefers growth has useful options on quiet days.

3 Combat Plans Shown So Far

  • Sandworm Bomb

You plant a bomb on your own base or an ally’s base. A countdown starts, and if nobody removes the bomb in time, it explodes and deals heavy durability damage to nearby enemy bases. The bomb is removed if the base is knocked away or teleports, and bases hit by an explosion are briefly immune to more bomb damage.

  • Call for Help

Other players can station troops at your base, and while they are there, your base slowly restores its durability.

  • Mummy Army

Troops you lose while attacking a building can return as projections near the target. Projections from different alliance members merge, and after a short time the group launches a rally attack on the building. These troops have reduced stats.

Desert Storm Upgrades

Desert Storm Battlefield

Desert Storm gets new changes than usual:

  • Compact Map

A more compact map, which brings the action closer.

  • Faster Rallies and Support

Faster rallies and support, so your team can react quicker.

  • New Rescue Mechanic

A new wounded-unit rescue mechanic, so you can help teammates recover troops.

  • Battlefield Achievements System

A battlefield achievements system, which gives members more ways to contribute

You can lead the charge, garrison a position, move to the next objective, or rescue and reinforce your allies.

Returning Content

  • Goldust Conquest returns

You decide who to declare war on, organize your alliance, and choose where to send your forces. With new skills and Combat Plans in play, there are more combinations to explore.

Goldust Conquest

  • Global Expedition returns

It is also tied to Hero Awakening, which is explained below.

Hero Awakenings: Carlie, McGregor, and Murphy

Three heroes will get Awakenings, one for each troop type:

  • Carlie (Aircraft)

  • McGregor (Missile)

  • Murphy (Tank)

In each Global Expedition, you train the designated hero and meet the listed requirements. You also earn Awakening Shards for that hero during each expedition, so Awakening moves forward step by step. They also tells players not to miss a single Global Expedition. The order and timing of each hero have not been announced yet.

Hero Awakenings

Season 7 Preparation Tips

  • Do Not Miss a Global Expedition

Since Awakening is tied to Global Expedition, every missed expedition means missed progress. Check your server’s schedule, and keep enough resources to train the designated hero each time. Guides also say a hero needs an Exclusive Weapon at level 20 before it can awaken. If Carlie, McGregor, or Murphy is in your lineup, working on that weapon now is a safe first step. Check the exact requirements on the hero screen once Awakening opens.

  • Plan When You Use Alliance Skills

The same skills can decide a battle or waste a good moment. Decide with your alliance which skills open the fight and which ones you keep for the follow-up push.

  • Learn Combat Plans by Day Type

Since plans change between non-combat days and battle days, test your options early in the season. Pick a development-focused plan for quiet days, and a combat-focused one when a war starts.

  • Talk With Your Alliance About Roles

With a rescue mechanic and battlefield achievements in Desert Storm, even players who are not on the front line can help. Decide who will lead rallies, who will garrison, and who will rescue and reinforce.

  • Keep Your HQ and Troops Growing

When a season ends, the map and some mechanics reset, but your account, heroes, and HQ carry over, so every upgrade you finish now helps in Season 7. You can check the full upgrade costs in our Last War HQ upgrade guide.

  • Use the Pre-Season Well

Download the season pack early, finish the preparation tasks, and check your in-game timer to see when your server starts. Dates can differ by server, so the in-game timer is always the best source. Features and rules may also change before release.

Skip Part of the Grind With a Ready Account on BuyAcc

BuyAcc

A new season rewards players who arrive prepared, with strong heroes, finished weapons, and a high HQ. Not everyone has time to build all of that. Some players would rather buy last war account progress that is already developed, so they can focus on Combat Plans and alliance wars instead. You can browse various listings of accounts on a trusted platform like BuyAcc and pick the account that fits your goals.
